The ash cloud as caused by a volcanic eruption in Iceland. The volcano is located beneath the Eyjafjallajokull glacier in the south of the island. The volcano began erupting/exploding on wednesday. Smoke and lava continued to pour out of the volcano on thursday, coating the country in toxic dust.

The store was forced to swallow their pride and bring all the big name brands back.

This risky move was made so that Walmart could push their own Great Value brand. Walmart was so desperate to push their own brand that they even changed the formulas on over 750 Great Value products.

Once the store brought all of the big name brands back they topped the Fortune 500 list again!

I have found a few new ways to use that magic eraser that you have sitting with all of your other cleaning supplies. And I want to share a few of these ideas with all of you.

1: One of the best things I have ever done, I used the magic eraser on my hardwood floors. I have 5 kids that live at home. That’s 10 shoes scuffing up my floor every day. I found that the magic eraser took scuffs and dried paint drips(compliments of my 6 year old artist) right off the floor.

2: I have found that magic erasers are great for windows and mirrors too. They give you a streak free shine and take grime right off the window or mirror of your choice.

3: I have loads of plastic play sets that sit outside and see the worst weather you could possibly imagine. They get grungy and gunky and gross! I have found that if you rub them down with a magic eraser, they immediatetly look brand new!

4: Leather. Have you ever thought about using your magic eraser on leather? My son uses them on his leather jackets and my friends swear they make their  leather couches shine!

5: My kitchen has all granite counter tops. And they can get kinda messy. I love the magic eraser because it can always get any grime off of my counter tops.

Have a baby shower in your neighorhood or local church to benefit a needy couple or yourlocal Crisis Preganancy Center. You can share a baby shower cake and games while wrapping the gifts and tagging them with what is inside. An alternative is having a pamper party. Have the admission be a pack of diapers. This is a great way to collect hundreds of diapers for a needy cause.

Benefit your School Classrooms or Library

Hold a book swap at school. This is a great way for students to acquire some new reading material and help teachers at the same time! During the “Book Collection Week”,students will bring in books to donate to the book swap. They will receive one credit for every two books they donate. Then during” Book Store Week”,they’ll chose from the donated books to spend their credit. Also, a contest between the classrooms could be whichever classroom donates the most books get to chose from the books first from the left over books that will be donated to the classrooms or library.

Toy Drive at School

Everyone bring a new unwrapped toy as an entrance fee to a movie night at school. You can even add to the excitement by making it a pajama party. Everyone is allowed to dress in their pajama’s. Don’t forget the popcorn and drinks to make it fun. Also, for a mixture of gifts for different age children, have each child bring a gift for their own age. You could also say A boy bring a boy gift and a girl bring one for a girl. Don’t forget to invite friends and family, as long as they bring a toy. of course. You can donate your new toys to your local Social Services Deptment, they are always helping needy families through the holiday’s.

Prom Dress Swap

It can be expensive buying a new dress every time a dance or prom rolls around, especially if you have more than one child you need to buy for. Get together with some parents help and have a dress swap. Instruct all the students to get a permission form to participate signed by the parents. As the girls arrive with their dresses put their name on it. If they like another dress they can swap. Meaning they no longer own their original dress. They then take their new dress home. Be sure to have an area where students can change into the dress with mirrors handy. You also might have a way for students to call their parents if there are any questions. To avoid any problems altogether you may want to require the parents presence to swap.You could also use this as a fund raiser for the Booster club, Choir or band .Charge a small entrance fee like $2. Who couldn’t afford that for a new dress. Get creative with it. For instance you can include accessories such as shoes or purses. Most importantly have fun.

Well I thought it was funny. As soon as everybody knew he was right I declared “It takes a real chef to know something like that!” He said it wasn’t exactly the way he wanted to be remembered, but that he would take what he could get.
